Today is International Tiger Day!

Hey, monkeys!
Did you know that today (July 29) is International Tiger Day? Well, it is! We thought it'd be a great day to remind you of the partnership MiniMonos made with WWF-NZ to help real life tigers!
Some of you older MiniMonos monkeys will remember that MiniMonos released a special tiger suit to help WWF and real life tigers! This tiger suit is still available for you MiniMonos monkeys to purchase in Traderz! :-) $1 from every tiger suit purchase goes to WWF’s Tiger Initiative and TX2 campaign.

MiniMonos Treehouse of the Week: Monkey-king of his castle!

Cpdarkrai's treehouse isn't really looking like a treehouse but a CASTLE! Check it out!

Cpdarkrai did a fabulous job decorating his castle like a king! I wonder how many rugs it took to fill up the floor of his castle! xD His robots were there to greet me and there were also lots of tables and chairs to choose from -- I guess he's expecting a lot of company! Party at Cpdarkrai's! Lol!

Monkey Fact Monday: Manx's favorite mini monkey !

Each week for the next few I will be sharing with you MiniMonos Staff members' favorite type of Monkeys!
This week I asked Manx what monkey species was her favorite:

"I think Goeldi Marmosets really neat because they're so small and cute!
And also that not much is known about them since their species is so spread out. That's why I think we need to really conserve our rainforests -- there are so many species we haven't discovered yet, and more that we don't know a lot about. It would be shame if we lost them."
Sweet Manx! They sure would be missed if we lost them!

Goeldi Marmosets are most commonly found in the Amazon River Basin. Goeldi Marmosets adult monkeys only weight about 3 ounces -- That's tiny!

Poll:Staff,tenben is out

Hey monkeys have a look at the poll. Not much votes huh but lets get on with the main stuff.
On the poll this week or so we had a vote which of our staff should ab the reiliever,
we COULD NOT desaide so we put it on the poll for you monkeys to vote.
It ended up sadly that tenben got the most votes(well there were 3 voters and they all voted for tenben to be out). So from now on tenben is a reiliever but he will still be reserving for any sick staff.

This week's treehouse of the week belongs to a monkey who was a winner of the Design a Treehouse Item contest! --Tapmancs!
Tapmanc's idea was a new type of treehouse for MiniMonos monkeys! You can see a picture of his design here.
Hehe have you figured it out yet? It's a PYRAMID! Heaps of you voted for it and our MiniMonos art team loved it so much, we made it into a new item!

Wow! Check out the inside! Tapmancs has all 7 beta posters and SO much treasure it could be Tutankhamun ('King Tut')'s own pyramid!
Lol -- Tapmancs also told us he's currently 1st place in R.A.T.S. so he could earn Banana Chips to buy his amazing furniture! Wonder if he got it from Traderz backroom? :-D

Monkey Fact Monday: Bananatastic's FAVORITE monkey!

In the next few weeks, I'll be asking each member of the MiniMonos staff their favorite monkey species, and why!
This week I asked Bananatastic! Here is what he said:
"I like the Douc Langur Monkey! It is an endangered monkey, native to Southeast Asia. At this time they're facing a lot of pressure because they're losing their habitats quickly!
Just like me, the Douc Langur Monkey deserves a home!  I try my best to follow up on their story to see how they're doing… It looks like they're still in trouble to this day, but thankfully WWF are trying to save them. "
 Awesome BT, these monkeys are definitely one of a kind!

As a Douc Langur grows older, its whiskers tend to grow longer! Douc Langurs also tend to have big bellies -- even the males are mistaken to be pregnant at times! :-)
